Elizabeth Woman ID'd As Rahway Porch Pirate, Police Say
An Elizabeth woman was identified as the person responsible for swiping packages from porches in Rahway, authorities said. Police are urging residents who see Melanie Jatoba walking or driving around town to contact Rahway police. She has been targeting homes during the day, police said. She has been charged for the thefts and has been issued complaint summons with pending court dates. Anyone with information can contact Rahway police at (732) 827-2200 or make an online report.

Linden High On Lockdown After 3 Students Struck By Vehicle
Linden High School was in a shelter in place Tuesday morning after a group of students were struck by a car, authorities said. A 14-year-old girl, and two 15-year-old boys were struck at while in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of W. St. George Avenue and Ainsworth Street by a 2009 Nissan Rogue heading east on W. George Street around 8:50 a.m., Lt. Christopher Guenther said. Special police officers arrived on scene and immediately rendered aid to the victims. : $10K Offered In Irvington Killings Of Rahway Brothers
A $10,000 reward is being offered in the shooting deaths of two Essex County brothers. The money is being offered by Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura’s Crime Stoppers Program in connection with the July 4 homicides of Malik A. McCallister, 38, and Tarik R. Barnes, 42, in Irvington. The Rahway brothers were shot around midnight on Montrose Terrace. McCallister was pronounced dead at Beth Israel at 12:30 a.m. Monday, July 5. Rahway PD Seek Man Wanted In Alleged Train Station Sex Assault
Police in Rahway are seeking the public's help in identifying a man regarding an alleged incident. The man followed the victim home from the Rahway Train Station Monday night, and apparently committed undisclosed sexual acts, police said. He told her his name was Kevin and offered his Instagram handle, kevin_bypass, as an offer to stop following her, police said. Authorities are investigating a double homicide in Irvington. Malik A. McCallister, 38, and Tarik R.
