Newark Woman, 51, Critical After Being Struck By Car In Roselle Park A 51-year-old Newark woman was in critical condition after being struck by a car in Roselle Park, authorities said. The victim was crossing Westfield Avenue when she was struck near Locust Street by a 54-year-old Linden driver Friday night, Roselle Park Police Chief Daniel McCaffery said. The Linden driver remained at the seen. No summonses had been issued as of Saturday. The victim was taken to Newark's University Hospital.

Dennis Depack, 48, was evicted from an apartment at 218 Chestnut St. in Roselle Park. Animal Control Officer Alex Balaban reported the incident on the morning of May 31. Watch: Huge Downed Branch In Roselle Park Damages Homes, Car A tree limb came down during rainy weather Tuesday morning in Roselle Park, landing on a parked car and two homes, police said.  Officers responded to the 100 block of Union Road a little after 6 a.m. The large branch had struck 113 and 119 Union Road in addition to the car.  The homes were briefly evacuated before they were found to be safe.  No one was hurt.  The street was expected to remain closed as the branch is removed and repairs are made to overhead power lines.
