Rollover Crash Jams Morning Rush At Routes 4, 208
A rollover crash jammed the eastbound morning rush near the Fair Lawn/Paramus border. A Honda Civic landed on its roof following a collision with a Ford wagon where Route 208 becomes Route 4 near Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn shortly before 7:20 a.m. Thursday. Fair Lawn police and Rescue Squad firefighters responded along with Paramus police and EMS. Both vehicles had to be towed.Boyd A. Loving No serious injuries were reported. ! Missing Englewood Girl, 14, Turns Up
A 14-year-old Englewood girl who'd gone missing for more than 24 hours was reunited with her family. Angalay Chaney was last seen leaving Rock Creek Terrace, just off eastbound Route 4, around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, they said. City police announced shortly before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday that she'd been found.

A driver told police he apparently blacked out before his sedan rammed into a Paramus home Thursday morning. An EMS unit attended to the disoriented Volvo driver following the mishap on Prospect Avenue just off Spring Valley Road and westbound Route 4 shortly after 11:30 a.m. He was taken to the Hackensack University Medical Center soon after. Detectives Nab Bronx Pair In Violent Bergen County Carjackings
A pair of violent Bergen County carjackings – one that produced a 110 mph pursuit and another that left a driver wounded – both involved a Bronx man who’s now in custody, authorities said. An unemployed Teaneck man was charged with collecting and viewing child porn. Adam S. Rutman, 22, who lives on a quiet street off Queen Anne Road near Route 4 and Teaneck High School, “used the Internet to view, download and possess files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Police detectives in Englewood said it was more than enough when they made an arrest Friday in a series of Rolex thefts from a local gym. Car Fire Jams Route 4
A car fire temporarily closed eastbound Route 4 in Englewood. Flames quickly engulfed the sedan in front of the BP station just after the Sterling Boulevard entrance to the highway, sending plumes of black smoke skyward, shortly after 2:30 p.m. Englewood firefighters doused the blaze while eastbound Route 4 remained closed at Webster Avenue. Traffic quickly backed up toward Hackensack while rubberneckers slowed the flow on the westbound side. No injuries were immediately reported. The driver of a stolen Jeep hit a median, a curb, some bushes and a tree before Paramus police took him into custody, authorities said. And they weren't even chasing him when he crashed.
