Parents Charged With Providing Alcohol To Minors At Party Before Fatal Stabbing In Shelton
Two parents have been charged with allegedly providing alcohol at a house party where a fight took place and later led to the stabbing death of a popular Fairfield County teen at another location.
Paul Leifer, age 59, and Susanna Leifer, age 51, both of Shelton, were arrested on Thursday, March 9 for the incident which took place on Saturday, May 14, 2022, said Detective Richard Bango of the Shelton Police.
The arrests stem from a party held at their home located at 5 Lazy Brook Drive in Shelton. Several high school students attended the party where alcohol was present, Bango said.

2 Charged In Theft Of Hairless Cat, High-End Goods In Shelton Hotel Burglary
A man and woman have been charged in connection with the theft of a hairless cat named Princess and high-end goods at a Fairfield County hotel.
The burglary took place in Shelton on Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Hilton Garden Inn on Old Stratford Road.
During the burglary, Princess was taken along with some $8,5000 in goods including Gucci and Fendi handbags, Shelton Police said.
On Wednesday, Feb. 1, police arrested 20-year-old Zyair Lopez, and 24-year-old Toni Douglas-Alves, both of Bridgeport.

Fatal Crash: Man's SUV Slams Into Trees, Rolls Over On Route 8 In Shelton, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was killed in a single-car crash on Route 8 after leaving the roadway and hitting a clump of trees in the median.
Clinton McDevitt, age 51, of Bridgeport, was killed around 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29 on Route 8 in Shelton.
McDevitt was traveling northbound on Route 8 when his 2003 Acura MDX near Exit 13 in Shelton veered into the left shoulder, entered the median, and collided with several trees causing the car to roll over, said the Connecticut State Police.
McDevitt suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
