A 65-year-old woman has been arrested on accusations she sexually assaulted a child in New Jersey, authorities announced.
Esther Silva, of Knowlton, filmed and facilitated acts of sexual abuse against a girl who was between 15 and 16 years old in 2007, with a man who is now dead, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.
The case came to light on Wednesday, July 11, when Paterson police discovered evidence in relation to the sexual assault of a child in 2007, Valdes said.

A 63-year-old Paterson man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 19-year-old man, authorities said.
Nahum Maldonado was taken into custody without incident around 7:30 p.m. on July 30, near East 15th Street and Lyon Street in Paterson, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a release Thursday, Aug. 7.
The arrest followed a report made to the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit on Aug. 20, around 5:10 p.m., Valdes said.
