A Connecticut businessman who ran a hedge fund based in Greenwich has admitted to stealing millions from investors in a years-long scam.
Justin C. Murphy, 50, of Stamford, pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud and money laundering, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. He faces up to 30 years in prison.

Javier Rosario, 51, of Stamford, has been charged with first-degree assault in the alleged stabbing on Wednesday, April 23, police said.

A Connecticut man is facing serious charges after police said he intentionally hit a pedestrian with his SUV before speeding away, authorities said.
Jeremiah Vizzo, 43, of Stamford, turned himself in to police on Monday, April 7, and was being held on a court-set $75,000 bond, authorities said.
Police accused Vizzo of crashing his Lexus SUV into a 57-year-old Stamford resident in the 400 block of West Main Street around 7 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16. He allegedly drove off, leaving the victim seriously injured on the road.
