State investigators are probing the in-custody death of a 36-year-old man who died while being held at the Stamford Police Department.
The Office of Inspector General, in collaboration with Stamford police, confirmed that Jamal Linton was found unresponsive in his cell on Sunday evening, Jan. 26, hours after being arrested on multiple charges, including second-degree assault and strangulation.

A 28-year-old Fairfield County man is charged in a motorcycle crash that left a 24-year-old pedestrian with possibly life-altering injuries, authorities said.
Kevin Calle, of Stamford, is charged with second-degree assault and reckless operation in the October 30, 2024, crash, police said.

A Danbury man is facing charges of drug possession and use of paraphernalia after police say they found him asleep in his car at a Darien school with cocaine and other drug-related items, police said.
