Fuel Truck Fire Shuts Down I-91 In Wethersfield, Hazmat Crews Called to Scene A tractor-trailer carrying 7,500 gallons of fuel erupted into flames on I-91, prompting a massive emergency response and full highway closures. State troopers rushed to the scene around 7:42 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, in the northbound lane near exit 24 in Wethersfield to find the truck’s cab fully engulfed in flames. The driver managed to escape unharmed, State Police said.  Wethersfield and Rocky Hill firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, while troopers shut down all lanes of I-91 northbound and southbound in the area, as well as connecting traffic from Route 3. Body Found After Fire At Storage Units In Capital Region State Police are investigating the discovery of a body following a structure fire at a storage facility in the region. Emergency services in Schoharie County responded around 4:10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, to reports of a fire at Superior Storage Units on Main Street in the town of Richmondville.  After firefighters extinguished the blaze, they found the remains of the dead person inside one of the units. Authorities are working to identify the deceased and determine the cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Know Him? Police Searching For This Halfmoon Burglary Suspect State Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly committed a burglary. The incident occurred in Saratoga County in October in Halfmoon. According to state police from Clifton Park, the man has a very distinct "518" tattoo on their right hand and a large tattoo on the right side of their neck. State Police said the crash has all I-87 southbound lanes closed from Exit 21 in Catskill to Ulster County in Saugerties Exit 20 for at least the next six hours.
