Gunfire In Public: 2 Teens Caught In Shots-Fired Incident In Poughkeepsie, Police Say
Police in Dutchess County have made arrests in a gunfire case last year that they say involved two teenagers.
The incident happened in Poughkeepsie on Nov. 1, 2024, when officers responded to Cannon Street in the area of Reservoir Square for reports of shots fired, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said in an announcement on Thursday, Sept. 11.
At the scene, officers recovered seven shell casings. Following an investigation, two people were charged in connection with the shooting, police said.

Riverhead Teens Have Been Missing Nearly A Week
Authorities are asking for help in locating two Long Island teenagers who have been missing nearly a week.
Destini Graham, 16, and Shawn Smith, 15, were last seen on Thursday, Sept. 4, in Riverhead, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
Destini was wearing a beige colored sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and pink shoes. Shawn had on a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, olive sweatpants, and black sneakers.
Both teens are believed to be in the Riverhead area, police said.

Three teenagers, two 14-year-old girls and a 13-year-old boy, have been charged after setting a fire in Mountain View Park in Middlesex on Saturday, May 3, authorities said.
