An 8-year-old girl was killed after she was struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle in Rockland County, police said.
The crash happened in northeast Ramapo at the intersection of Ravenna Drive and Tiffin Lane on Tuesday, June 2, at around 5:39 p.m., according to the Ramapo Police Department.
Officers responding to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle learned that the child, a Ramapo resident, was riding her bicycle when she was hit by a 2025 GMC Hummer, police said.
The vehicle was being driven by a 34-year-old Ramapo resident, according to investigators.

Anees Khan, 38, of Huntington, was riding a 2023 Ducati motorcycle southbound on Round Swamp Road near Hilltop Drive in Melville, around 6:45 p.m. when he attempted to pass a 2022 Kia Seltos traveling in the same direction, according to Suffolk County police.
