The incident happened in Yonkers around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, when the child ran ahead of their guardian while crossing the street at the intersection of North Broadway (Route 9) and Robert Lane and was struck by a vehicle traveling at a low speed, according to Yonkers Police Sgt. Robert Spink. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene following the collision. The child, who showed no visible signs of injury, was transported to a local hospital for a precautionary evaluation, Spink said. …

I-684 Reopens After 2 Tractor Trailers Jack-Knife, Leave Roadway In North Castle Part of Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester has cleared following a crash involving two jack-knifed tractor-trailers.  The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 16 at around 6 a.m., when two tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on I-684 northbound in North Castle, according to New York State Police. The two vehicles jack-knifed and went off the roadway as a result of the wintery weather, police said. Luckily, no injuries were reported. The interstate is now open to traffic.

Ulugbek Yunussov, 62, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler van that left the roadway and struck an embankment on Larkin Drive around 11 p.m., NY State Police said.
