Lane Closures Scheduled For I-84, Taconic Parkway
State officials issued an alert about planned single-lane closures on the Taconic State Parkway and I-84 in the Hudson Valley. The New York State Department of Transportation said Orange, Dutchess, and Putnam County motorists should expect one lane to close on I-84 and the Taconic State Parkway due to bridge maintenance. Police Close Highway In Prince William County After Multi-Car Wreck
A multi-car wreck closed a portion of Jefferson Davis Highway in Dumfries on Tuesday night, May 24. Police tweeted out just before 8 p.m. that the highway would be closed near the intersection of River Heritage Boulevard because of the crash. Police did not release any information on the crash. Not So Sweet: Tractor-Trailer Carrying 40,000 Pounds Of Sugar Overturns In Sussex County
Emergency crews made a not-so-sweet discovery Thursday evening when they rushed to the scene of a Sussex County crash and found an overturned tractor-trailer loaded with 40,000 pounds of sugar. The trailer overturned and went down an embankment on Limecrest Road in Andover Township around 4:40 p.m., the local police department said.
