Jackson Mueller, who was struck and killed by a BMW driven by another juvenile in Brick on Monday morning, May 19, is being remembered as a beloved son and brother, according to his obituary from the O'Brien Funeral Home website.
An honors student who was set to complete his freshman year at Brick Memorial High School, Mueller was set to attend MATES, a specialized STEM school in the fall, his obituary reads. A motorcyclist is dead after a crash involving a parked tow truck on a rural Connecticut road, state police said.
Matthew Sherwood, 27, of Wolcott, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle south on East Hartland Road in Barkhamsted near the Hartland line, when he collided with a Kenworth T280 tow truck parked in the road, according to Connecticut State Police. The crash happened around 3:43 p.m. Saturday, April 11, just south of Hayes Road.
Sherwood was rushed to Winsted Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on a Long Island roadway, police said.
Erin M. Henry, 67, of Long Beach, is accused of striking a cyclist and fleeing the scene in Atlantic Beach on Tuesday, March 24, at 7:46 a.m., according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said Henry was driving a 2019 Honda HR-V eastbound on Beech Street near Scott Drive when she hit an unidentified male bicyclist. She continued driving eastbound after the crash, police said.
