Trump Targeted In Assassination Threats By PA Man From Same County As 2024 Shooting: DOJ
A Pennsylvania man who threatened to assassinate President Donald J. Trump and other U.S. officials has now been sentenced, federal authorities announced on Thursday, Sept. 3.
Shawn Monper, 33, of Butler, admitted in federal court to making threats to assault and murder U.S. officials and federal law enforcement agents, according to U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Monper pleaded guilty to two counts related to threatening officials, and as part of his plea agreement, accepted responsibility for additional charges tied to his online activity on Monday, April 13, authorities said.

A prostitution investigation at a Long Island hotel led to two arrests and federal immigration action, authorities said.
Elizabete Aguiar Pereira, 42, of Newark, and Girlene Da Silva Dos Santos, 31, of Elizabeth, were taken into custody during an undercover operation at the Red Roof Inn in East Garden City, Nassau County police said. The arrests happened on Monday, March 23, at 3:50 p.m.
