A driver had to be rescued after a vehicle veered off the road and into the woods in Rockland County. The crash happened Tuesday, June 17, on Red Schoolhouse Road near Ronwood Road in Chestnut Ridge, according to a report by The Monsey Scoop. Fire crews helped stop a vehicle from rolling over after it crashed over a guardrail in Dutchess County. The crash happened in Pawling on Wednesday, March 5, at around 7 p.m., when a vehicle ended up on a guardrail on Route 22, preventing the driver from getting out, according to Pawling Fire District Chief and Fire Marshall Everett White. Pawling fire crews responded to help stabilize the vehicle and stop it from rolling over. They also freed the driver. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office helped respond to the call, White said.

Driver Rescued From Flipped Car In North Salem
Firefighters had to free a driver from their overturned vehicle following a crash in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 6:20 a.m. when a car rolled over on Titicus Road (Route 116) in North Salem, the Croton Falls Fire Department said on Thursday, Jan. 16. Arriving fire crews found that the driver was trapped inside and worked to stabilize the vehicle with struts and cribbing. Once they finished stabilizing it, crews removed the car's sidewall to get to the driver. The response took around an hour.

A Brooklyn man was killed late Tuesday night, Dec. 10 when his van veered off the road and struck an embankment in Monroe, authorities said. Ulugbek Yunussov, 62, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler van that left the roadway and struck an embankment on Larkin Drive around 11 p.m., NY State Police said. Yunussov was extricated from the vehicle as EMS began lifesaving measures. Three people were rescued after their vehicle got stuck on a flooded roadway in Belleville early Wednesday morning, Nov. 22. At 5:10 a.m., Belleville police were notified of a vehicle stuck on a flooded roadway near 525 Main St, officers said. Police found a 2014 Dodge Durango with three occupants inside and along with the fire department, were able to safely remove the occupants, officers said.
