Tesla issued the recall for about 10,500 Powerwall 2 battery systems, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025. The lithium-ion cells can make certain Powerwalls stop working while in use, resulting in overheating and potentially smoke or fires.

A tractor trailer crashed into a school bus on Route 80 in Morris County on Thursday, July 24, authorities said.
At 9:56 a.m., the tractor trailer, which was traveling east in the center lane, struck a school bus in the left lane, causing it to lose directional control and hit the center median, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.

Yamaha is expanding its recall of golf car vehicles after the accelerator pedal spring assembly was found to pose a crash hazard.
