A career bank robber with a fitting nickname is back in custody in Maryland after being busted in Montgomery County going to the well one too many times, authorities announced. Frederick resident Steven Gregory Gass - also known as "Old Man Bandit" who has an extensive history of bank robberies spanning 45 years was arrested after allegedly attempting to rob the Wells Fargo Bank on North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. A Hudson Valley man has been charged with attempting to fraudulently obtain a debit card in Fairfield County while impersonating the real account holder. The incident took place in Westport on Thursday, June 30 at the TD Bank located at 185 Main St. Officers responded to the bank on a report that a man was attempting to receive a debit card by impersonating the real account holder, said Lt. Jaquan Royal, 26, is accused of robbing a Wells Fargo at 6300 Richmond Highway just before 5 p.m., Fairfax County police said on Thursday, May 26. A man who robbed a Bensalem bank Saturday was in police custody, authorities said Tuesday. Keenan Coats, 32, of Philadelphia, walked into the Wells Fargo bank at Street Road around 9:15 a.m., Bensalem police said.
