House Fire Breaks Out At Six-Bedroom Estate In Weston A $2 million Weston home was ravaged by a fire that spread through the 7,000-square-foot mansion. The fire started Sunday night, Feb. 10 at the home at 103 Good Hill Road, said the Weston Fire Department. When crews arrived on the scene, they found a heavy fire that extended into the attic near the garage and spread throughout the home. Firefighters battled the "stubborn" blaze with the assistance of the Wilton Fire Department and the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department. Weston Motorist Who Crosses Double Yellow Line Driving Under The Influence, Greenwich PD Says Police nabbed a 30-year-old area man for DI after he was stopped for failing to maintain a single lane while driving. Benjamin Knudsen of Weston was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 22 after being stopped on Hamilton Avenue in Greenwich for driving over the double yellow line and failing to stay in his lane, said Lt. Martin O'Reilly. When officers spoke with Knudsen they could see he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, police said. Weston Man Caught Driving Under Influence On Newtown Turnpike, Wilton Police Say A 70-year-old man was nabbed for DUI after police caught him allegedly driving drunk on the Newtown Turnpike in Wilton. Bruce Edward Lorentzen, of Weston, was arrested around 3:17 p.m. on Dec. 18, after Wilton Police officers responded to the turnpike in the area of Stonebridge Road on a report of a drunk driver, Wilton police said. When officers arrived on the scene they found Lorentzen intoxicated and displaying signs of impairment, police said.
