An Essex County man is being remembered as a "ray of light to all who met him" as his community rallies to provide support to his wife.
Philip Joseph Newcomb Jr., of Beverly, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 17, at age 35, according to his obituary.
"Phil, who had a larger-than-life personality, made everyone smile and feel so loved," the obituary reads.

A Norfolk County Man was arrested for his part in a rollover crash that ejected a man from the car and killed him, officials say.
Casey W. Kirsch, age 33, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with negligent homicide and driving under the influence after he crashed a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, throwing his passenger out of the vehicle and inflicting fatal injuries on Sunday, July 23, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
Police were notified of the crash, which occurred on Interstate 93 South in the town of Sanbornton, New Hampshire, around 1:33 p.m.

A trio of fugitives wanted for "the ultimate crime" have been added to the Massachusetts State Police most wanted list, officials say.
Wanted for three fatal shootings collectively, police are seeking three Eastern Massachusetts men, Luis Soto, Jerome Fordham, and David Lynch, "so that we may speak for their victims," according to Massachusetts State Police.
