Worker Critical After 40-Foot Fall Through Skylight At Hudson Valley School
A construction worker is in critical condition after falling some 40 feet through a skylight at a Hudson Valley middle school. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the Union Vale Middle School in Lagrangeville. According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, the man was working on the skylight when he fell. The unidentified man was airlifted by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center in critical condition, Harris said. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Worker Falls Head-First From Roof Of Franklin Lakes School
A worker was hospitalized Thursday after he fell from the roof of a school in Franklin Lakes and landed on his head, authorities said. The 54-year-old West New York laborer with Safeway Contracting out of Union plunged 10 to 15 feet at the Franklin Avenue Middle School shortly after 2 p.m. July 27, Police Capt. Mark McCombs said. He was alert and conscious while being treated for a large cut on his head before being taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, the captain said. OSHA was notified and responded for further investigation, McCombs said.

Glen Rock DPW Worker Injured When Bobcat Tips
A Glen Rock DPW worker was hospitalized Thursday after a Bobcat mini excavator he was operating at the borough landfill tipped onto its side, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. The 40-something worker was belted in when the mishap occurred at the facility off Doremus Avenue around 1:30 p.m. July 27, the chief said. He suffered trauma and a cut on his left leg, Ackermann said. Constructor Worker Killed In Rock Crusher Accident At Swampscott Job Site: DA
A worker was killed on Monday afternoon, July 17, following an accident at an Aggregate Industries job site at the Swampscott Quarry, authorities said. Workers at the facility called 911 around 1 p.m. to report an incident involving a rock crusher suspended above the quarry at the 30 Danvers Road site. The worker was pronounced dead at the scene, and their name is being withheld until their next of kin can be notified. Swampscott police, Mine Safety and Health Administration, and the Essex County District Attorney's Office is investigating the accident.

A 58-year-old man died after coming in contact with power lines in a workplace accident Tuesday, July 11 in Monmouth County, authorities said. Kevin McAdorey was working near 1040 Route 35 on a motorized scissor lift when the lift came in contact with power lines, causing McAdorey to fall 20 feet to the ground around 12:30 p.m., Middletown Police Chief of Police R. A 62-year-old Ocean County man was killed in an apparent worksite accident in Hillsborough early on Wednesday, May 31, authorities said. The man, whose identity was not released, was found as Hillsborough Township Police responded to a call regarding an accident involving heavy machinery at a site on Willow Road around 7:25 a.m., Somerset County Prosecutor John P. A man was hospitalized after he was partially covered by a falling wall, officials say. The worker was injured around 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17 while working to demolish a wall of the Haverhill Best Western, located at 401 Lowell Avenue, Haverhill Fire Chief Robert O'Brien said.
