A Long Island man has been indicted for allegedly breaking into a woman's home and raping her before burglarizing her home and then returning two days later, this time wearing clown makeup.
Joseph T. Johnson, age 33, of Wyandanch, was indicted for the crimes on Wednesday, Feb. 10, as well for a string of car break-ins in the area, said Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy D. Sini.

A Long Island man has been arrested for alleged possession of a stolen loaded handgun and marijuana.
Suffolk County resident Vernon Thornton, age 32, of Wyandanch, was arrested in Merrick around 8:20 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, after detectives working a special detail aimed against opioids sale and use, after he was pulled over for traffic violations, said the Nassau County Police.

Ariana Urias, 13, was last seen on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 12:15 a.m. at her residence, located in Wyandanch, Suffolk County Police said.

Trio Nabbed For Long Island Gas Station Robberies
Three men who allegedly robbed two Long Island gas stations on Christmas Day have been apprehended, police announced.
Devonte Burgess and Shaquawn Humphrey, both of Wyandanch, entered the Shell gas station, located at 170 Bay Shore Road in North Babylon at approximately 10:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25, Suffolk County Police said.
One of the suspects displayed a knife and demanded cigarettes and cash, according to police.
The employee complied with their demands.
A third man, Fleeton Allen, 53, of Huntington Station, waited in a red Dodge minivan, according to police.

A man driving drunk with two children as passengers crashed his car into a Long Island grocery store, according to police.
The incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 in Greenport.
