Man Wanted In Brooklyn Stabbings Arrested In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford Police arrested a man wanted for two stabbings in Brooklyn during a raid on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Advocate. Police told the Stamford Advocate that Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad members conducted a drug raid on a Hall Place home at around 6 a.m. Wednesday, during which 25-year-old Justin Velez was apprehended. At 11:38 p.m. Sunday, May 21, Danbury Police received a 911 call reporting that someone had found an abandoned baby near the Polla Supermarket on Main Street. Registration Open For New Canaan Flag Football NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Registration is now open for the New Canaan Flag Football League's 2017 season. The league is accepting players from grades two through 12 this year. To enhance the program, the league is adding an all-girl league for grades four through six, as well as coed high school league for players in grades 10 through 12 called Friday Night Lights.
