Two Cars Damaged In Trumbull Crash TRUMBULL, Conn. -- One person was taken to the hospital after a crash at the intersection of Booth Hill Road and Wisteria Drive on Monday.The Nichols Fire Department responded to the accident at around 4 p.m. on Monday. Both cars sustained substantial damage, with one person being taken to the hospital. Engine 301, Squad 309 and Car-1 responded to the scene.

Police Warn Of Traffic Restrictions For Middlesex Middle School Graduation DARIEN, Conn. -- Anyone planning on attending the Middlesex Middle School graduation ceremony held Thursday at Darien High School should be advised that there will be some traffic restrictions surrounding the event. Due to the anticipated large turnout for the event, beginning at 5:30 p.m. there will be some regulations for the area surrounding the high school. Darien Man May Have Lost Thousands In Craigslist Apartment Scam DARIEN, Conn. -- A 51-year-old Darien man wired more than $2,000 to someone he met on Craigslist who duped him into thinking he had an apartment for rent in Stamford, according to police. Police said that the man reported on June 7 that he had been in contact with a "Cory Hopper" via texts and emails for about a month concerning an apartment rental. The man told police that he had met "Cory Hopper" through a Craigslist post advertising the apartment rental at 101 Park Square in Stamford. Woman Caught In The Act Of Using Fake Card At Darien ATM, Police Say DARIEN , Conn. -- A woman wearing a dark wig and sunglasses was arrested using fraudulently "cloned" credit cards at an ATM in Darien, according to police. Police were called to the People's United Bank on Heights Road by the bank's security department, who were concerned about a woman attempting to use suspected fraudulent credit cards at the ATM. When officers arrived they found a woman, later identified as 38-year-old Gabriela Enache of Flushing, N.Y., who was in the ATM vestibule. Joel Barlow Bids Farewell To Class Of 2017 This Week REDDING, Conn. -- Joel Barlow High School will bid farewell to the Class of 2017 this Thursday with a ceremony at Western Connecticut State University. The ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. at the O'Neill Center on WCSU's campus. Another Unlocked Car Broken Into In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- An unlocked car was entered and items were taken earlier this month on Walmsley Road in Darien. Sometime between the evening hours of Wednesday, May 31 and the morning hours of Thursday, June 1, someone entered a Hyundai Elantra that was parked in the driveway of a Walmsley Road home. The car had been left unlocked, police said. Paperwork from the Hyundai had been found in the area by a neighbor, who alerted the owner concerning the burglary. Credit Cards Stolen From Car In Wilton Used In Bridgeport WILTON, Conn. -- Multiple cars were broken into on Glen Ridge in Wilton this weekend, according to police. Two people have so far reported break-ins on Saturday morning, but police said many more are likely to come forward. The cars were broken into at around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10. Click It Or Ticket: Norwalk Police Crack Down On Seat Belt Violations NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police handed out dozens of tickets during a crackdown on seat belt violations last month. Norwalk Police, in conjunction with the state Department of Transportation, conducted a Click It or Ticket initiative from May 22 through June 1. During that time, police issued 29 infractions for seat belt violations. They also issued 12 infractions for cell phone use, one summons for reckless driving, two summonses for operating with a suspended license, and one summons for driving without insurance.

Darien Teen Busted After Hosting Party With Alcohol, Bonfire DARIEN, Conn. -- A 19-year-old Darien resident initially claimed that he was 21 when police caught him hosting an underage drinking party last week. Police responded to a Greenwood Avenue home just before midnight on Thursday, June 8 on a report of a loud party. Officers met the resident, who said he had had some friends over for a bonfire.
