Darien Residents Keep Leaving Their Cars Unlocked Despite Ongoing Thefts DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien Police are once again asking residents to lock their cars in light of more unlocked vehicles being entered and items being stolen in town. "As many residents are aware, the town of Darien, as well as almost every other municipality in Fairfield County, has been inundated with thefts from motor vehicles over the last six months or more. Two Stratford Teens Charged With Stealing Maserati Out Of Greenwich STRATFORD, Conn. — Two teens were arrested after police said they stole a Maserati out of Greenwich and abandoned it in Stratford. Police said the 2016 Maserati had been stolen from Greenwich and abandoned on Carrol Road in Stratford on Wednesday afternoon. Police used the new K-9 Logan, who just started patrol work on Monday, to track the two suspects, one of whom was a juvenile, police said. Wilton Man Injured In Fiery Crash Into Tree In New Canaan NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A Wilton man was injured after his car crashed into a tree in New Canaan and caught on fire Wednesday evening. At around 6:56 p.m., New Canaan Police responded to the crash in the area of North Wilton Road and Cross Ridge Road. Darien Residents Help Raise $720K For Maritime Aquarium DARIEN, Conn. – Several Darien residents were on hand at the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk's "Cirque de la Mer" fundraiser on April 20, which raised more than $720,000 for the aquarium's environmental education programming for students in the tri-state area. Stamford's John Cook IV, Pilot And Member Of USA Triathlon Team, Dies At 81 STAMFORD, Conn. -- John Cartwright Cook IV, a pilot and triathlete, died Tuesday, April 25 at Stamford Hospital at the age of 81. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in December and fought the disease the way he lived — competitively and with every cell in his body. Pit Bull/Boxer Mix Found In Westport Seeks New Home WESTPORT, Conn. -- A pit bull/boxer mix who was found malnourished on Old Hill Road in Westport in March is still looking for a home.
