Monroe Schools Introduce New Tool To Help Kids Fight Bullying MONROE, Conn. -- Monroe School District officials have introduced a new app that allows students to report bullying, according to WTNH. Called Anonymous Alerts, the app and website allows students or parents to anonymously alert district officials to any suspicious activity, bullying or other issues. School officials told WTNH that the system also allows students to have a conversation with school officials about the issue. Ridgefield Man Charged With Stealing Car From White Plains Enterprise RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- A Ridgefield man was charged with stealing a rental car out of White Plains, N.Y., according to the Ridgefield Press. Police told the Ridgefield Press that the car had been rented from an Enterprise Rental Car in White Plains on April 7 and never returned. Enterprise was able to track and locate the car at a Lawson Lane residence on Wednesday, April 19, according to the Ridgefield Press. Police Investigating After Workers Find Human Remains In Greenwich Park GREENWICH, Conn. -- Police are investigating human remains that were discovered Wednesday morning in Helen Binney Kitchel Natural Park in Greenwich. Greenwich Town Parks employees were clearing debris from a wooded section in the southwest area of the park around 9:12 a.m. Wednesday when they discovered what appeared to be human remains, police said. Norwalk Police Identify Woman Found Dead After Domestic Attack NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police have identified the woman found dead in a Westport Avenue home Wednesday morning as 49-year-old Lisa Zemlock. Zemlock's body was found in her home at 505 Westport Ave. Unit 17 after officers arrived on a report of an assault, police said. Suspect In Bridgeport Restaurant Murder Arrested In Florida BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The suspect in a murder at a Mexican restaurant in Bridgeport last September was arrested in Florida on Tuesday. On Sept. 29, 2016, Cristobal Hernandez, 36, was shot and killed inside El Paraiso Restaurant, located at 1026 Madison Ave. in Bridgeport. Norwalk State Rep. Morris To Run For Mayor NORWALK, Conn. — State Rep. Bruce Morris is planning on running for mayor of Norwalk, according to the Hour. Morris, a Democrat, told the Hour that he intends to run, and that a formal announcement will be coming in the next few weeks.
