Norwalk Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Yelling About Biggie Smalls NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested on drug charges Sunday after police said he dented a woman's car and was lying in the snow screaming about Biggie Smalls and other rappers. Carlos Gudino, 35, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, possession of narcotics, possession within distance of a school, possession with intent to sell, first-degree threatening and third-degree criminal trespassing. Himes, Esty Introduce Rail Crossing Safety Bill After Metro-North Tragedy FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Fairfield County’s U.S. Reps. Jim Himes and Elizabeth Esty have introduced a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives designed improve safety at highway-rail grade crossings. The two Democratic representatives introduced the Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Safety Act of 2015 along with U.S. Reps. Norwalk Girls Softball League Focuses On The Fundamentals NORWALK, Conn. – The board of the Norwalk Girls Youth Softball League and its new president, Louis Seeley, are bringing some fresh ideas this year to revitalize the league and inspire a new-found love the game in its players. Bridgeport Diocese Mourns Passing Of Cardinal Edward Egan BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Diocese of Bridgeport is "shocked and saddened" by the passing of Cardinal Edward Egan, who died Thursday at the age of 82. Egan served as bishop of Bridgeport from 1988 to 2000, leading Fairfield County's 410,000 Roman Catholics. In 2000, he was appointed to be the Archbishop of New York, serving until his retirement in 2009. Pope John Paul II elevated to him to cardinal on Feb. 21, 2001. Norwalk Launches Summer Program For Students At Aquarium NORWALK, Conn. – About 50 Norwalk seventh- and eighth-grade will explore marine technology, ecosystems and animal care at the Maritime Aquarium this summer as part of the mayor’s Student Engineering and Science Program. The program is a partnership among the city, the Maritime Aquarium and Norwalk schools. Bridgeport Man Charged With Breaking Into Norwalk Bagel Shop NORWALK, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was arrested and charged with trying to break into Village Bagels in Norwalk before employees fought him off last October in an early morning break-in, according to police. Angel Rodriguez, 47, was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary, possession of burglar's tools, and sixth-degree larceny. One Stabbed, Three Teens Arrested In Large South Norwalk Fight NORWALK, Conn. -- One person was stabbed and three teenagers were arrested after a large fight in South Norwalk on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
