Police: Norwalk Man Threatened Darien Man Over Plowing DARIEN, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested in Darien after police said he threatened a 75-year-old man who complained about his snow-plowing job. Patrick Prendergast, 68, was issued a misdemeanor summons on a charge of threatening. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11. Police received a report Monday morning from a 75 year-old resident of Runkenhage Road who said Prendergast had threatened him with a gun, according to police. Westport Delays Town Hall Opening Monday WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Town Hall will have a delayed opening Monday due to the snow. Town Hall offices are now scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m., though there may be limited service as Town Hall personnel may be unable to get to work due to weather conditions. Residents with business at Town Hall should contact the department to make sure that personnel are in the office. While there is no travel ban in place, town officials are advising residents that driving conditions are poor and that they should remain at home if possible.

Snow Emergency Declared In Norwalk; City Hall Opening Delayed NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling has declared a snow emergency in Norwalk, and City Hall will have a delayed opening at noon Monday. Rilling declared the snow emergency Sunday night in advance of the expected snowstorm. Darien Town Hall Delays Opening; Organizations Closed Monday DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien Town Hall will operate on a two-hour delayed opening Monday due to the snowstorm. Town Hall is now scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m., although if weather conditions continue to degrade, this delay may change to a closure, officials said.
