Norwalk Man Charged With Throwing Boiling Water On Police Sergeant NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested and charged with throwing boiling water on a police sergeant Monday morning after officers responded to a report of a man on a roof, according to police. Andrew McClure, 36, was charged with second-degree assault and assault on a peace officer. He was held on $75,000 bond and will appear in court on Oct. 30. Police received a call from a mental health agency at 9:30 a.m. Monday that McClure was on the roof of his Flax Hill Road home and was acting erratically. Bridgeport Woman Charged With Shoplifting In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport woman was arrested in Westport on Sunday after police accused her of shoplifting at Whole Foods with a child. Sorana Dimarino, 50, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a child. She posted a $5,000 bond and will appear in court Oct. 28. Police were called to Whole Foods at 6:35 p.m., Sunday, on a report of a shoplifting incident. Darien Police Charge Norwalk Man With DWI Outside Pumpkin Carnival DARIEN, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested on drunken driving charges outside the Tokeneke Pumpkin Carnival in Darien on Saturday morning, Oct. 18, after he was found to be at more than twice the legal alcohol limit, police said. Louis Criollo, 45, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, interfering with an officer, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to obey the signal of an officer. Fairfield Families Get In The Halloween Spirit At Pumpkin-Carving Event FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield families got a chance to start the Halloween season started and have their pumpkins carved for them Sunday in a fundraiser for two local organizations. Motorcyclist Injured After Colliding With Box Truck In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. -- A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday afternoon after colliding with a truck in Westport and becoming wedged under it, according to police. The accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. Friday in the area of 355 Riverside Ave, police said. CDC Confirms Negative Ebola Tests At Yale-New Haven Hospital NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed Friday that the student who checked into Yale-New Haven Hospital with Ebola-like symptoms does not have the deadly virus.
