Car Accident Leads Darien Police To Underage Party DARIEN, Conn. -- Two people were arrested after a car accident led police to a party in Darien early Sunday morning, according to police reports. Ovidio Bennett-Lagos, 23, of Darien was charged with assault on an officer, interfering with an officer and providing alcohol to minors. He was released on a promise to appear in court. Michael Dinnan, 19, of Stamford was charged with evading responsibility and making an improper turn. He was released on a $2,500 bond. Man Charged With Impersonating An Officer In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A Brooklyn, N.Y., man was arrested in Norwalk early Saturday morning and charged with pretending to be a police officer. Mohamed Sayed-Ahmed, 24, was charged with one count of impersonating a police officer. Bond was set at $1,000 and he will appear in court April 29. Ahmed approached an officer outside a bar on West Avenue at about 2 a.m. Saturday to complain about being thrown out of the bar, police said. Norwalk Man Charged With Postal Marijuana Pickup NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested after police said he picked up a package at the post office containing a large quantity of marijuana. Horace Stultz, 49, of Norwalk, was charged with possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession within distance of a school and selling within distance of a school. Darien Church-Goers Carry Cross To Mark Good Friday DARIEN, Conn. -- The parishioners of several Darien churches gathered to take part in the annual Good Friday tradition of carrying a large wooden cross across town. The tradition is meant to evoke Jesus's carrying of the cross before his crucifixion on Good Friday. Norwalk Community College Investigates Anti-Gay Slur Written On Wall NORWALK, Conn. -- Officials at Norwalk Community College are investigating an anti-gay slur that was written on a bathroom wall.
