Rye Police: Teenage Girls Flee Man Armed With A Knife RYE, N.Y. -- Three teenage girls reported seeing a man armed with a knife at Rye Recreation Park on Friday night, according to police reports. The girls told police that they were approached by a man at the park at around 9 p.m. The man was described as a white male in his early 20's, clean shaven, wearing a red and black sweater, a baseball hat and carrying a red backpack. Upon seeing the knife, the girls fled, police said. No property was taken and nobody was injured.
