Burn Victim Airlifted, Two Others Injured In Ocean County House Fire Three people were injured, including a man who suffered very serious burns, when a house caught fire in Ocean County, authorities said. Berkeley Township firefighters and police officers responded to a house fire on Berkeley Avenue at around 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. When first responders arrived, they found heavy flames at the front of the home and all three people outside. Car Crashes Into Toll Booth On Garden State Parkway In Ocean County A car crashed into a toll booth on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County, causing an afternoon traffic slowdown. The New Jersey Department of Transportation said a vehicle overturned at the southbound toll plaza in Barnegat. The crash happened just after noon on Friday, Feb. 9. Traffic cameras showed a car on its roof up against a booth in the far left lane of the plaza.  The crash closed down at least one lane.

Baby Seal Rescued After Wandering Streets Of Jersey Shore City A Jersey Shore animal rehabilitation center rescued a baby seal after it was seen wandering around an Ocean City neighborhood. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center (MMSC) said it first received a call about the grey seal pup at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7. After coming ashore, it was spotted on West Avenue between 42nd and 43rd streets. The male seal then went through a backyard and along a sidewalk before moving into the middle of 42nd Street.
