Former Toms River Track Star Diego Rodriguez Garibaldi Dies Following Crash, 19 Family and loved ones are mourning the death of a teen from Toms River. A GoFundMe page was created in the memory of Diego Rodriguez Garibaldi, who died on Friday, Jan. 26 at 19 years old, according to his obituary. The memorial fundraiser was created after a car crash sent Rodriguez Garibaldi to the hospital. Details in the crash were not immediately available. Popular Jersey Shore Vacation Spot Eyes $34M Boardwalk Reconstruction After This Summer North Wildwood is preparing to start rebuilding its popular boardwalk after this summer. The popular vacation spot is finalizing the plans to reconstruct its part of the Wildwoods Boardwalk, according to a post on the city's Facebook page on Monday, Feb. 5. Registered Sex Offender In NJ Convicted Of Sexually Abusing 13-Year-Old A registered sex offender in Atlantic County was found guilty of sexually assaulting a child, authorities said. A jury convicted 34-year-old Marcelino Cruz of Mullica Township on Wednesday, Feb. 7, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Cruz was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of child sexual abuse material. South Jersey Man Gets Life In Prison For Atlantic City Teen's Slaying A Pleasantville man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for killing an Atlantic City teen almost four years ago, authorities said. Lewis Johnson, 35, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 6 to life in prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Police ID Bicyclist Killed In Atlantic County Hit-Run Crash An Egg Harbor Township bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police said officers responded to the crash on Steelmanville Road in the Scullville section at around 6:34 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Three Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze At Jersey Shore Home Three firefighters were injured while on the scene of a house fire in Monmouth County, officials said. Firefighters responded to the home on 11th Avenue in Neptune on Tuesday, Feb. 6, according to the Neptune Township Office of Emergency Management.
