Middlesex County Man Killed While Walking Across Route 1 Overnight A Dunellen man was killed while walking across Route 1 in Edison early in the morning on Monday, Jan. 8, authorities said. Adam Ginsberg, 52, was crossing Route 1 against a green light at the intersection with Plainfield Avenue at around 2:20 a.m., according to Edison police.  Ginsberg was hit by a car driving north on Route 1. He was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver stayed at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed.

Cape May County Man Killed In Atlantic City Shooting An Upper Township man was killed in a late night double shooting in Atlantic City on Sunday, Jan. 7, authorities said. City police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 1100 block of Monroe Avenue just after 10 p.m., according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. When officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds at the scene. Kevin Gayle, Jr., 37, of Marmora was unresponsive.
