Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Central District patrol officers received a call that a 17-year-old victim had checked himself into a hospital for gunshot wounds around 1:16 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, according to Baltimore Police. Arnol Nunez Alfaro, 20, was found shot inside of a vehicle on the 5400 block of Powhatan Road around 1:35 a.m., Saturday, June 18, according to the Prince George's Police Department.  Alfaro was pronounced dead on the scene. Student Brings Gun To Middle School Prompting Lockdown In Prince George's A Fort Washington Middle School was placed on lockdown when a student brought a gun to school on Tuesday, June 21, authorities said. The Isaac J. Gourdine Middle School student, 13, showed the non-serialized ghost gun to a peer who reported it around 8:15 a.m., Prince George's Count Police said. Rene Rivas Quinteros, 45, from Winchester, Virginia was killed when the vehicle he was in struck a tree on the 28540 block of Ridge Road around 8:15 a.m., Saturday, June 18, according to Montgomery County Police.
