Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Silver Spring Man Found With Gun, Drugs In Routine Anne Arundel Traffic Stop: Authorities A routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Silver Spring man after officers found a handgun and nearly an ounce of suspected marijuana in the vehicle, authorities say. Mohamed Diallo, 24 was pulled over for a registration violation in the area of Annapolis Road and Blue Water Boulevard in Odenton around 11:45 p.m., Monday, June 20, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Teen Shooting Victims Walks Into Baltimore Hospital A teenage boy is recovering after walking himself into a hospital after being shot, authorities say. Central District patrol officers received a call that a 17-year-old victim had checked himself into a hospital for gunshot wounds around 1:16 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, according to Baltimore Police. $8K Reward Offered For Information On Baltimore Slaying Police are offering a reward for any information on a weekend killing in Baltimore, authorities say. Trevor White, 40, was killed within the 1300 block of Lakeside Avenue shortly after 4 a.m., Sunday, June 19, according to Baltimore Police. A reward of $8,000 is being offered for any information leading to an arrest. $25K Offered In Maryland Man's Slaying A massive reward is being offered for information on an early morning killing over the weekend in Riverdale Park, authorities say. Arnol Nunez Alfaro, 20, was found shot inside of a vehicle on the 5400 block of Powhatan Road around 1:35 a.m., Saturday, June 18, according to the Prince George's Police Department. Alfaro was pronounced dead on the scene. A $25,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to an arrest in the case. Maryland 2nd Grade Teacher, Mom Monika Herold Dies Suddenly, 37 Beloved Prince George's County teacher and mom of two Monika Herold died suddenly on Sunday, June 12. She was 37 years old. Born in Lansing, Michigan, Monika was a 2002 graduate of Arundel High School, having graduated with a degree in Education from Frostburg State University in 2006, according to her obituary. Monika she taught elementary school for 16 years at both Riverdale Elementary School and Montpelier Elementary School. Teen Riding Scooter Dies In Late Night Baltimore Hit-Run A teenager riding a scooter was killed in a late-night hit-and-run crash in Baltimore, authorities said. The 19-year-old victim was struck by the vehicle who fled the scene on the 300 block of Light Street around 11:13 p.m., Sunday, June 19, according to Baltimore Police. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and succumbed to his injuries on Monday, June 20. Crash Team investigators are investigating this incident. Veteran Maryland Officer Dies Off-Duty The Prince George’s County Police family is mourning the death of one of their own, officials say. Corporal Terry Middleton passed away while off-duty at his home late last week, Prince George's County Police say. The dad of four was a 16-year veteran of the agency assigned to the Bureau of Patrol, Division II Bowie Station. Corporal Middleton's devotion to his community didn't stop with his service as an officer as he was also was a volunteer with the FDNY for 31 years. Student Brings Gun To Middle School Prompting Lockdown In Prince George's A Fort Washington Middle School was placed on lockdown when a student brought a gun to school on Tuesday, June 21, authorities said. The Isaac J. Gourdine Middle School student, 13, showed the non-serialized ghost gun to a peer who reported it around 8:15 a.m., Prince George's Count Police said. The gun was recovered from the student's waistband. Charges were pending. The weapon was recovered and no injuries were reported. The incident is currently under investigation.

Virginia Man Dies In Maryland Crash A Virginia man has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Maryland over the weekend, authorities say. Rene Rivas Quinteros, 45, from Winchester, Virginia was killed when the vehicle he was in struck a tree on the 28540 block of Ridge Road around 8:15 a.m., Saturday, June 18, according to Montgomery County Police.
