Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Two Men Recovering After Being Shot In West Baltimore: Police Two people are recovering after a non-fatal shooting in the West Baltimore, authorities say. Police responded to the shooting in the 2400 block of Edmondson Avenue around 2:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, Baltimore Police said.  Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old male and an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wound, police said. Both victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Baltimore Man Charged In Non-Fatal April Shooting: Police A man has been charged with attempted murder after shooting another man in Baltimore in April, authorities say. Calvin Hemphill Jr., 41, was arrested after shooting a 53-year-old man on the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. on April 17, 2022, according to the Baltimore Police Department.  The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Hemphill Jr. was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

84-Year-Old Woman Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle In Montgomery County: Police An elderly woman has died after being hit by a vehicle in Montgomery County, authorities say. Carole Barbara Weiss, 84, was hit by a blue 2005 Honda Accord while crossing the southbound lanes on Rockledge Drive around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, Montgomery County Police say.  The driver and several witnesses stopped and attempted to provide medical aid. Search Continues For Killer Of Baltimore Man With 'Charming Personality' Gunned Down At 25 Chone Cummings had a "charming personality and a smile that could brighten up a room," according to a GoFundMe organized in his honor. The 25-year-old was the only victim in a mass shooting that happened in Baltimore last week.  Officers found Cummings unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Rose Street around 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, according to Baltimore Police.
