Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Baltimore Shooting Victim Seriously Injured: Police A victim remains in serious condition after being shot in the Southern District, authorities say. The victim was transported to a hospital for apparent gunshot wounds after reports of a shooting on the 100 block of South Carrollton Avenue around 9:10 a.m., Thursday, May 12, according to the Baltimore Police Department. Double Life Sentence For Man Who Strangled 2 Women In Maryland A man who killed two Maryland mothers after soliciting sex from them online will serve two life sentences, authorities say. Christopher Tyson pleaded guilty to the fatal strangulation of Denita Barret, 21, and Ashley Lambert, 37, who he attacked after soliciting sex in exchange for money in March of 2021, according to the State Attorney's Office of Baltimore City. Barrett was pronounced dead on March 21, 2021, after being found unresponsive on the floor of her home. Tyson admitted to putting Barrett in a chokehold after a disagreement, officials report. Stolen Car Crash Leaves One Dead In Maryland: Police One person was killed after being ejected from a stolen vehicle in a single-vehicle collision in Howard County, authorities say. The driver of the 2019 Kia Optima was traveling west when he left the roadway and struck a tree on Guilford Road at Lambeth Court shortly before 4 a.m., Thursday, May 12, said Howard County Police. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead on the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, officials say.

Montgomery County Church Thief Wanted By Police Montgomery County Police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that could lead them to identify a suspect being a recent church burglary. Police responded for a reported burglary at the Georgia Avenue Baptist Church around 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, police said. 47-Year-Old Baltimore Man Arrested For Gas Station Double Shooting: Police A Baltimore man has been arrested for allegedly shooting two people at a gas station last April, authorities say. Joseph Moulden, 47, is accused of shooting a 22-year-old male and a 37-year-old male at a gas station on the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road in the early morning of April 30, according to Baltimore Police. An investigation revealed Moulden was arguing with unidentified individuals and began shooting randomly, resulting in the two victims and himself getting shot, say detectives. Body Of Missing Maryland Man Found Near Highway In Washington County: Police A Hagerstown man who had been missing since January was found dead in Clear Spring over the weekend, authorities say. The body of Bryan Patrick Harley, 38, was found by three juveniles in a wooded area near Route 69 and I-70 on Sunday, May 8, reports the Maryland State Police.
