Park Ridge Police Officers Share Veteran Experience With Kids PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- With Veterans' Day approaching, Park Ridge Police Department officers Christopher Puglis and John Szot, both of whom are U.S. Marine Corp veterans, visited West Ridge Elementary School and East Brook Elementary School Nov. 10 to speak to children about what it means to be a patriot. The officers explained to the children why they decided to join the military and described what being American means to them. They also brought USMC uniforms to show the kids.

Three Teens Charged With Robbery In East Fishkill EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- East Fishkill detectives have charged three teens with robbery, officials report. Officers responded to a report of a teen who was assaulted and robbed of his cell phone and watch outside his residence in Wiccopee at about 8:00 p.m. on Nov. 2, according to police. The teen was able to provide the name of one of the suspects, police report. Registration for the program is now open for the following sections: third- and fourth-graders, fifth- and sixth-graders and seventh- and eighth-graders. The registration deadline is Nov. 19.
