Pilot Unscathed After Virginia Plane Crash A Michigan pilot miraculously survived a small plane crash in Virginia Tuesday evening, March 12, officials said. Travis M. Berlin, 45, of Parma, MI, made an emergency landing in a field of the 1400 block of Steed Lane in Warren County around 5 p.m., Virginia State Police said. The aircraft landed in a field and struck several trees. Berlin was the only occupant and was not injured. The FAA and NTSB were notified and the incident remains under investigation.

It happened at 7 a.m. in the southbound lanes when a passenger vehicle and two tractor-trailers collided near Exit 45, State Police said. The impact of the crash caused one of the tractor-trailers to jackknife. There are no reported injuries.  The 28-year-old male driver at fault was charged with following too closely.

Tesla Rear-Ends Box Truck On NJ Turnpike: State Police A box truck crash on the New Jersey Turnpike held up traffic Tuesday afternoon, March 11. An Isuzu box truck parked on the right shoulder of the northbound lanes was rear-ended by a Tesla passenger vehicle, also heading north, which had lost control around 1:15 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. It happened at milepost 109.7 in Kearny Township. Minor injuries were reported and both drivers were taken to an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.
