Search Intensifies For Missing Woman After Car Found Abandoned In Capital Region Search crews have descended on a remote area near the New York/Massachusetts state line after finding an abandoned car belonging to a woman who has been missing for weeks. Fae Morgana Barbone, age 40, was reported missing out of Williamstown, Massachusetts, on Thursday, March 7. She was last seen in Maine, where she had an “interaction” with a police officer, according to Williamstown Police. Sightings of the woman have also been reported in North Adams and the Carolinas. Seen Her? Alert Issued For 16-Year-Old Capital Region Girl Reported Missing Police in the region are seeking tips in the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl. Albany County resident Alisha Rodgers, of Watervliet, was reported missing on Thursday, March 21. It was not immediately clear when she was last seen. Watervliet Police said the teen is considered a runaway and is known to frequent the Capital District. Rodgers is 5-foot-6 and 148 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Basement Burglar Busted Inside Long Island Home, Police A man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught burglarizing a Long Island home. The incident happened Friday, March 15, at a residence in the hamlet of Remsenburg. Southampton Town Police said the homeowner called 911 at around 2:15 p.m. saying he came home to find a man at the bottom of his basement steps. When he asked the intruder what he was doing there, the man said he would call his boss. The suspect then left the home and drove away. Firefighter Sends Sexually Explicit Photo To Purported Underage Teen, Capital Region Police Say A firefighter from the region is accused of sending a sexually explicit image to who he believed was a minor. Albany County resident John Redick, age 68, of Colonie, was arrested Monday, March 18, on suspicion of disseminating indecent material to a minor, a felony. Inmate Found Dead In Capital Region Jail Cell Days After Arrest An inmate was found dead at a jail in the region days after his arrest. Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said Derek Labutta, age 43, of Schenectady, was found unresponsive in his cell at the county jail in Ballston Spa on Monday evening, March 18.
