$1M Lottery Jackpot: Greenfield Man Has Smart Plans For His Windfall A Massachusetts man has a sensible plan for his $1 million grand prize in the state's lottery.  Keith Poirier, of Greenfield, won the seven-figure windfall in the state's “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” game, a $20 scratch-off ticket.  He chose the lump-sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity, which would have paid out the full amount over several years. He said he plans to save the money for his retirement.  Poirier bought the ticket at Sandri, 295 Federal St. in Greenfield. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
