Man Hit, Killed While Searching For His Stolen Car In New Britain A Connecticut man trying to find his stolen vehicle was hit and killed by a car late last week, authorities said.  Matthew Croskey was struck by a car just after 11:45 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the intersection of Hartford Road and Village Square Drive in New Britain, police said. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Investigators say Croskey had been in the area looking for his car, which had been stolen earlier that evening. Truck Driver Killed In Fiery I-84 Truck Crash In Vernon Still Unidentified Days Later Two days after a tractor-trailer crashed and burst into flames, Connecticut State Police have not identified the driver who died.  The crash was reported on Wednesday evening, April 15, on I-84 in Vernon around 11:15 p.m. State Police said Babikir Abdelrahman, a 56-year-old man from Indiana, had pulled his Volvo semi-truck onto the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes near Exit 67.
