A Long Island man was convicted of sexually abusing his girlfriend’s grade school-age daughter for more than four years, authorities announced Tuesday, March 24.
The 39-year-old Bay Shore man, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the child victim, was found guilty by a jury on Monday, March 23, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
The man began abusing the young girl when she was 8 years old in June 2020, investigators said. The abuse allegedly continued until December 2024.
