Stolen Vehicle Recovered After Several Burglaries: Pohatcong PD Several vehicles were broken into in Pohatcong on Saturday, Aug. 29, authorities said. Officers responded to multiple reports of people entering unlocked vehicles in the Parkside section of the township, Pohatcong police said. At 3:45 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen but it was located and returned to its owner, police said. Police said they are asking anyone reach out if they have surveillance or doorbell-camera footage showing suspicious vehicles, pedestrians, or a male riding a scooter in the area overnight.

Brick Man Killed In Route 195 Crash: Njsp A 73-year-old Brick man was killed in a crash on Route I-195 in Jackson Township Wednesday, Aug. 26, authorities said. At 9:01 p.m., William Wright was driving a Ford SUV east on I-195 when he lost directional control of the car and struck a Ford SUV, then struck a Toyota SUV, Caitlin Brennan said. During the crash, both Fords overturned and Wright was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people were injured in the crash and transported to a nearby hospital, Brennan said.  The crash remains under investigation, Brennan said.
