At 7 p.m., officers responded to 709 S. Wood Ave. and found a woman with a single gunshot wound she sustained while sitting inside a vehicle in the parking lot, police said. The woman was treated on scene and transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Rasheed Siyam was arrested on Monday, Sept. 15 after an investigation found that on various dates between November 2024 and May 2025, Siyam returned to his home while on duty for extended periods of time, Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello. He remained at home over 130 hours beyond department approved meal break, Mello said. Siyam is charged with theft by deception, Mello said.
