A police officer observed a maroon Volkswagen off the roadway at East Main Street and Petticoat Lane on Friday, May 29, Clinton Township police said. The driver, Peter Hausherr exhibited signs of impairment and was apprehended following standardized field sobriety tests, police said. He is charged with DWI, careless driving and reckless driving, police said.
