Norwalk's Pierre-Louis Catches Attention Of Seahawks' Coach NORWALK, Conn. -- Second-year linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis of Norwalk has caught the attention of Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll during the team’s preseason workouts. "We're really fired up with what he can do," head coach Pete Carroll said in a story posted on Fox Sports. Pierre-Louis, who played at King in Stamford under Dan Gouin, joined the Seahawks last year after a standout career at Boston College. Mirtha Lisboa, 70, Lived In Ossining OSSINING, N.Y. -- Mirtha Lisboa of Ossining died on Monday, Aug. 17. She was 70. Lisboa was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on June 18, 1945 and was the daughter of Juan and Maria Esther (Castillo) Giraldez.  Mirtha is survived by her mother Maria Esther; her husband Jose; children William (Holly), Richard (Romana) and Karina; siblings Francis and Jorge Giraldez and Zulma Medina and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Miguel Angel and her grandson Kevin. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Dorsey. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 …

Stamford Mayor Martin Steps On Curtain Call Stage This Weekend STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Mayor David Martin is scheduled to make cameo appearances in the play "Oliver" this weekend at Curtain Call. Martin will have small speaking roles in the Friday and Saturday shows. Martin will appear at the end of the opening scene as an orphan in the children's show.
