Sales fell 8 percent in the third quarter in Greenwich compared to the third quarter in 2013. However, the average sale price climbed 8 percent, according to a report from Houlihan Lawrence. Single-Family Home Price Climbs 5.1 Percent In Stamford FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Activity slowed but average home prices grew in Stamford, Darien and New Canaan and reflected a third-quarter trend in Fairfield County. Sales fell by 8.8 percent in Stamford in the third quarter over the same time frame from last year. New Canaan (16.5 percent) and Darien (9.3 percent) also saw fewer homes exchange owners, according to statistics from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties.
