DeLeon's Goal Lifts Mercy College In Women's Soccer Opener DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Junior Jessica DeLeon scored in the 51st minute as the Mercy College women's soccer team defeated Pace University, 1-0, in its season opener on Thursday, Sept. 4. For Mercy, freshman Alyssa Iannuzzi took three shots, while DeLeon and senior Abby Zielinski each took two shots. MacKenzie Cochrane and Savannah Campana were over the field on defense, allowing only two shots on goal in the shutout victory. Junior goalkeeper Nicole Augustine played all 90 minutes, making two saves, and picked up the 10th shutout of her Mavericks career.
