Coyle was the daughter of Francis Patrick Garvan  and Mabel Brady,Following six brothers and sisters, she was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Roslyn, N.Y., on Long Island. After attending the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York for high school followed by Manhattanville College. Mrs. Coyle met and married Frank James Coyle in 1946.  She was a volunteer for many years at the Greenwich Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, photography and nature. Wilton Swimmer Shines At Junior National Championships WILTON, Conn. -- Stephen Holmquist of the Wilton Y Wahoo Swim Team participated in the 2014 Speedo Junior National Championships held at the William Wollett, Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif. The meet featured the nation's top up-and-coming swimmers ages 18 and under.    Holmquist had a great week, starting with the 1500 freestyle where he dropped more than 25 seconds and was on the podium with a sixth place finish.  His time of 15:41.41 broke the Connecticut resident and team record. Norwalk's Logan Qualifies For U.S. Team At Age Group Triathlon Race FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Easton’s Chris Thomas won the masters division of the USA Triathlon Age Group Championships Olympic Distance event to lead a strong performance by Fairfield County athletes over the weekend in Milwaukee. Thomas won the 40-44 age group and finished 16th overall at the Olympic Distance, which consisted of a 1,500 meter swim, 25-mile bike ride and 6.2-mile run. Thomas finished in 1:56:05, and was especially strong on the bike and run. His bike time of 56:24.9 led the division, and he closed out the race with a 35:35.4 10K, the second best time in the division. It…

If your daughter lives in Fairfield and is going into first grade through 10th grade, she's eligible to play with one of the state's most successful softball programs.
