Norwalk’s 12-year-old All-Stars meet Stamford National at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Stamford’s Scalzi Park. Norwalk went 3-1 in pool play and earned the second seed in Pool A. Westport Softball Team Ousted From State Little League Tournament FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The Redding-Easton 12-and-under softball team stayed alive in Division 1 of the Connecticut Little League tournament Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Westport in Orange. Redding-Easton plays North Branford on Monday at 7 p.m. If Redding wins, it will force a winner-take-all championship game Tuesday. Redding lost its first game to North Branford, 5-4. North Branford also defeated Westport, 2-1. Westport’s season ended with the loss to Redding-Easton on Sunday. Dally, Trefz Win Longshore Women's President's Cup In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. -- Jane Dally and Phyllis Trefz won low gross honors in the recent Longshore Women's Golf Association President's Cup. The two-player tournament was played over two weeks and 14 teams participated. Dally and Trefz posted a winning total of 150. Katie Pulino and Linda Crowell won net honors with 119. Yvonne Dougherty and Jo Rasmussen were second in gross scoring (157) and Suzanne Goldstein and Sarah Kelley (121) took second in the net division. The tournament is the second major of the season for the organization.
